Nature inspires me. That's one way of saying how I feel these days - when is the snow going to END?
Yes, it's only 9 days until May and it's still snowing here in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Enough already!
I was just warming up to the new inspiration from spring and then winter decided it wasn't quite ready to leave yet. Wind chill temperatures of -20C -- give me a break!
It has me thinking about knitting blankets for everyone I know, rather than getting outside and letting the sounds, smells, textures and colors of spring inspire me. I'm wearing a wool sweater instead of a t-shirt.
Maybe pictures will help dispel the cold and gloom...pictures that show the inspirational colors, shapes, and textures in nature.
These pictures include, clockwise from top left, the colors and textures of a backyard sanctuary, the incredible shape and texture of DNA, sunset splendor, a frozen waterfall, and the brilliance of spring green and sky blue.
