I forget to promote this blog sometimes - it's fun, it's a hobby, and social bookmarking should be perfect for getting the word out.
This isn't exactly about blog directories, but it's the closest category I had. Am I thinking straight, thinking that the fewer categories I have going on, the easier it might be to find information, the more targeted my site will be? Always so many questions.
This article about SEO tips has one - #10 - that I'm following right now.
In order to get Technorati, many people's favorite bookmarking site, working for me, I needed to write a new article and put a link to my Technorati Profile in it.
That was sure easy.
I'm following GaryTheScubaGuy's instructions to a T, including getting set up to post to his whole list of bookmark sites:
a. Digg
b. Technorati
c. Del.icio.us
d. NowPublic
e. StumbleUpon
f. BlinkList
g. Spurl
h. Furl
i. Slashdot
j. Simpy
k. Google Toolbar (w/Google Bookmarking)
Even though I'm already a member at some of these sites, I'm going back in and getting them set up in RoboForm. If I hadn't been doing that, I wouldn't have noticed the little detail about linking back to Technorati.
You might call this a Techn-ical-orati detail.
Now back to work...
